Using chemical engineeringconcepts and methods to study physiologicalprocesses in the human body, like study of thespread of drugs in the human body, study ofartificial organs and etc. formed the newresearch field---biomedical engineering.Principles of chemical engineering have evenbeen applied to the study of preparation of highpurity electronic devices, jet technologies, andso on. In other words, outside of the field ofchemical product production, any occasion valueschemical reactions or heat & mass transfer, onecan always find techniques of chemicalengineering comes in. This recognition reflectsthe resistless trend of chemicalengineering---“interdisciplinary”.
