We were all disappointed not to deliver our annual conference in 2020 but are looking ahead to Liverpool 2021 with the hope that we will be able to meet in September as planned. We are, of course, mindful of the ongoing pandemic and will continue to review and adjust plans if necessary. We are already provisioning for a hybrid element to allow those who will be unable to join us physically and hope that you will save the date for #IP2021.
Over the last decade we have developed a reputation for an outstanding scientific programme, with a wide range of international and UK based speakers. Feedback from delegates in the past has positioned us amongst the worlds-best for the range and quality of educational and industry content. These elements come together to provide delegates and our industry partners with an excellent environment in which to further build relationships and exchange ideas concerning products and technologies.

There will be a practical workshop in leadership and an opportunity to take part in research.
Your Scientific Programme Committee (SPC) has prepared this conference in furtherance of the IPS Mission Statement: No patient is harmed by a preventable infection. Secondly, the programme has direct relevance to your practice; you will have learning opportunities that will motivate and inspire you to consider how your local infection prevention and control programmes could be modified to improve care and reduce infection risks. Finally, the conference is designed with you in mind. All presentations are mapped against the IPS competences to facilitate your personalised-development and career progression.
