We would like to extend a warm invitation to you to attend our 12th International Conference on Cancer in Africa. The conference, themed Cancer in Africa: Innovation, Strategies, Implementation, will be held in Maputo, Mozambique from 5 to 8 November 2019.

Currently, we are busy preparing an exciting programme for the conference, which will focus on the unique burden and opportunities for cancer control in Africa. The conference will feature an in-depth scientific programme with local, African, and internationally-renowned keynote speakers. The agenda will also include symposia led by experts and interactive workshops that will equip attendees with diverse tools that can be implemented in innovative and resourceful ways. Major areas of focus will include cancers of the cervix, breast, prostate, and oesophagus; haematological cancers; and hepatocellular carcinoma. In addition, the conference will focus on the development of National Cancer Control Programmes and will address the issue of palliative care in Africa.

This conference promises to appeal to a broad array of health-care professionals involved in cancer care. It will also provide a great opportunity for you to network at the conference and during social events with the African and the international cancer communities in one of the most beautiful seaside cities in Africa.
