Welcome to INJURY 2019 which this year will be Thursday 8th August at the usual venue, Eden Park, Auckland, NZ. This year's programme for the first time will have space for free papers and as you will see on the Call for Abstracts page, the closing date for abstracts

is Monday 6 May 2019.

In response to attendee feedback the international speakers include Rebekah Ogilvie from Canberra, Australia. Rebekah’s presentations last year resonated with attendees and I am looking forward to some further challenging and informative talks. Our other international speaker is Professor Belinda Gabbe from Monash in Melbourne, Australia. Belinda has co-authored many of the landmark papers that have come out of the Victorian State Trauma System and many of the findings have direct relevance to us in NZ. As usual there will be a range of local speakers as well as the best of the submitted abstracts.
